Reacting to the discussion on the Aircraft (Amendment) Bill, 2020 in Lok Sabha, Puri said national bearer Air India, which was enduring lost Rs 26 crore consistently, has been additionally hit because of the flare-up the same number of courses it flies on have been closed. He said Air India flies to 50 universal and 80 household goals.
The clergyman referred to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) figures and said the flying part could be confronting misfortunes in the tune to USD 63 billion to USD 113 billion.

"My anxiety is that the household (air) travel has descended by 20-30 percent," he said.

In such a case, Puri said there were a few recommendations from the aircrafts organizations which incorporated the credit time given by oil organizations for Air Traffic Fuel (ATF) be expanded from 15 days to 30 days, He supported bringing the ATF under the GST ambit.

The House later passed the bill which tries to improve India's avionics wellbeing appraisals and give statutory status to administrative foundations, including the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
